I wanted to know about your tried and true cleaning tools. What do you swear by? For example, my cleaning world changed considerably when I started using microfiber cloths. I use them to mop my floor (on my hands and knees, whilst dreaming of owning a kitchen steam mop) and they seem to pick up every little piece of dirt. I use them with just a touch of water to wipe down the fingerprints on my TV screen. I use them to do deep cleaning on the kitchen countertops, because, again, those microfibers don't miss a speck. What cleaning tools make your life easier and cleaner?
I, too, heart my microfiber cloths.
ReplyDeleteThis isn't really about cleaning but good smells... put a rolled up dryer sheet inside your toilet paper roll, everytime you turn it, it will freshen your bathroom. I love this because with 3 boys (well 2 who use the potty), my bathrooms often smell urine-y.
Have you heard of Norwex? I have a friend who just became a consultant for them, and I believe they sell microfiber cloths? I don't know though, because I had never heard of them until just last week. What's the magic behind them?
ReplyDeleteMy cousin sells Norwex too. Apparently it has a silver agent in it? so it's self cleaning? with supersupersuper fine hairs??
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I have nothing to convert you to. I just use what we happen to have. I do hate my bathroom floor (hairs! esp post-baby. UGH!, so I have the super cheapo wipes for that. Mop. Chuck. Sanitize my hands.
Plain rags, all-purpose cleaner in a spray bottle, baking soda, nylon scrub-sponge and my washing machine: I always do a "yucky" (super hot) load of rags after cleaning. Then I toss a cup of vinegar into the rinse water.
ReplyDeleteOh, and my dyson. I'm so spoiled. I love that vacuum.
