oh Baking Soda, I never knew how much I needed you

I've been using backing soda for so many cleaning tasks this last week: pee in carpet, pee on wooden floors, toilets, baths, sink, drain, and stove. Oh and apple cake and cookies. What do you use it for?

  1. I've not tried it on pee but I do use it for the other stuff you mentioned. It also makes a suitable substitute for toothpaste though not very yummy.

  2. I've used it for many a cleaning trick as well... I always have a BIG box of Arm and Hammer on hand. I've even used it to make my laundry detergent when I ran out of washing soda. Worked like a charm. Ever used it to pull oil or grease stains out of clothes? Mix a little with water to make a paste, rub it on, through in washer. Voila! Oh and bread and pancakes this week :)

  3. I just ran out of tea tree oil for my baking soda/dishsoap/oil mixture for scrubbing the bathrooms! I'm wanting to add it to laundry some time to test if it really freshens the clothing (or was that vinegar?). I actually bought the giant box of baking soda @ the grocery store and ran out in a month! I _never_ ran out of the stuff before!

  4. We make volcanoes all the time over here. :) and I use it for the tub. Vinegar is my go to cleaner which works out great for the volcanoes.
